Summer Discovery Camp June 15-19

The Summer Discovery Camp on June 15-19 is open to children of MSUM faculty and staff who have completed 7th, 8th, or 9th grades. Students will stay in campus residence halls with meals provided. The cost of the camp is $500. An option for local students is to participate as a day camper for $250. These students must find their own transportation. Partial scholarships are available to Minnesota students.

A great program is planned with MSUM scientists and college students serving as teaching assistants and resident assistants. Students will take one step at a time:

Into rivers, creeks, and ponds to investigate what aquatic creatures tell us about our waters;

To observe and video capture plants growing, bugs transforming, and mold decaying;

To explore new ways of getting energy to power our planet.

To register, contact Continuing Studies at 477-5862 or contstdy@mnstate.edu or find information online at www.mnstate.edu/continue and click on Summer Discovery Camp. For more information on the camp program contact Shawn Ellingboe at 477-5836 or ellingboe@mnstate.edu.
