MSUM Percussion and Steel in the Schools

The MSUM Percussion Studio rounded-out the semester by giving educational performances and clinics at Fargo-Moorhead area middle and high schools during finals week. Dr. Kenyon Williams, Associate Professor of Percussion, gave three two-hour clinics at area high schools and was then joined by student members of the Poco Fuego Steel Drum band to present an educational performance at Discovery Middle School. Their performance was funded through a donation to the MSUM Music Department Scholarship program by Gene Okerlund. Poco Fuego will also perform on Wednesday, May 20 at the Plains Arts Museum as a part of their “Rush Hour Music Series” from 5:30-7 p.m.
