Library Gets $2,000 For Public Art Project

The Livingston Lord Library and Training Our Campuses Against Racism (TOCAR) have been awarded funding from the Lake Region Arts Council for a $2,000 project to create public art in the Library. The art project will be conducted through collaborations between community and campus organizations, facilitated by a community artist Magda Szeitz. The art will explore ideas about diversity from the perspectives of both campus and community and will be created collaboratively by MSUM students and community members.  Project coordinators are Anita Bender (Women’s Studies & TOCAR) and Brittney Goodman (Instructional Resources). The project will be completed and unveiled at a public event in late fall, 2009.
