TOCAR and Cinema Arts & Digital Technologies present a film screening of the award-winning documentary “Precious Knowledge” Monday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in King Hall 110.

This is a film about the social justice activism of Mexican American students in Arizona who are advocating for the preservation of an inclusive ethnic studies curriculum that has transformed their high school graduation rate from the national average of 52 percent to 93 percent, with 85 percent of those students attending college. This is an amazing story of resilience, resistance against oppression, empowerment and revolutionary education. The filmmaker, Eren McGinnis, will offer a question/answer session following the film.
