Dr. Mary Stone and Dr. Sheri Erickson, both from the school of business, and Dr. Marsha Weber, Dean of the College of Business and Industry, have a paper accepted for publication in the fall 2012 issue of the Journal of Business and Accounting.

The paper, “Corporate Crisis: An Examination of Merck’s Communication Strategies in the Vioxx Case,” examines Merck Pharmaceutical’s  communication strategies using Benoit (1995) and Marcus and Goodman (1991) typologies to determine whether Merck communicated in a way that enhanced shareholder value.
