An educational presentation on the topic of “Cancer Survivorship” is scheduled TONIGHT – Monday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the CMU, Room 101. This presentation is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
The presentation on cancer survivorship will be facilitated by Dr. Shelby Terstriep and a panel of 5 cancer survivors. Dr. Shelby Terstriep is a medical oncologist at Sanford Health and is the medical director of Embrace, Sanford’s cancer survivorship program. She is a Mayo Clinic trained physician and was involved in research and training at SPARC, Mayo’s innovation lab. In 2011, she was awarded the American Cancer Society’s Lane Adams Quality of Life award, a prestigious award, given only to eleven extraordinary and compassionate caregivers annually. She is passionate about cancer survivorship.
