MSUSA’s soup and a letter event takes place today! Tell us what issues you would like MSUSA to address on campus or statewide. Write a letter to your local senator or representative and tell them what is important to students. Our MSUSA table will be in the CMU from 11-2pm. Join us and get free soup, hot chocolate and coffee.
Join the 2014-15 Dragon Fire Booster Club and receive season tickets to all home Dragon Athletic events. MSUM Employees can join via payroll deduction.

The Student Union and Activities is taking reservations for the Spring Semester, both weekly room reservations and event reservations. Weekly room reservation forms for Spring Semester 2015 may be picked up at the Info Desk, CMU 115 or downloaded from http://www.mnstate.edu/cmu/reserve-plan/ –completed forms should be brought to the Info Desk for processing. On Sunday November 23rd, Kappa Sigma Fraternity held it’s fall semester initiation ceremony. Seven students, Nik Newville, Garrett Anderson, Caleb Radley, Ethan Michaelson, Kristian Vazquez, Alex Zimmerman, and Ronald S. Dautel were inducted into the Sigma-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Welcome to the 12th Gate Brothers!

One day left to donate a canned good or non-perishable food item for Fill the Dome! Canned goods and non-perishable food items are being collected for the annual Fill the Dome Youth Led Food Drive. With the help of our student organizations and student groups, we have over 1,200 items so far! If every student, faculty, and staff on campus donates one item, we will reach our goal of 6,500 items. Donations are being collected through 3pm Friday, November 21 and can be dropped off in various office location around campus including: The C-store (Comstock Memorial Union), Biosciences and Chemistry Main Office (Hagen Hall 103), Residence Halls (At every Front desk), MSUM Bookstore (MacLean Hall), Social Work (Lommen Hall 114), International Student Services (Comstock Memorial Union 229), Career Development Center (Flora Frick 151), Office of Student Activities (Comstock Memorial Union 222), Women’s Center (Bridges Hall 154), Admissions Office (Owens 102), Athletics Department (Nemzek Hall 134), and MSUM Dining Services (Kise Commons).
The Paralegal student group (MSPAM) is holding an event on Thursday, Nov. 20th to write holiday greetings to troops serving overseas. All those stopping in the Center for Business will have an opportunity to write a greeting. The paralegal students will supply all the necessary materials (pens, cards, stationary, etc.). The paralegal student group will send the greetings on to the soldiers.
MSUM Psi Chi (the honor society for psychology) has received a $1000 Undergraduate Research Conference grant from Psi Chi International.
MSUM Psi Chi will use the funds to host the Red River Psychology Conference on campus April 23-24. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the MSUM Psi Chi chapter. You’ll learn how to create a well recognized brand, build stronger relationships with current and future member and effectively use social media to keep your member up-to-date and involved.

In 1950s Spain, a group of Argentinians loyal to the deposed president Peron plan a robbery to recover the jewels that used to belong to the president’s late wife Evita, creating a comedy of errors when two dictatorships collide. Hosted by the Spanish Club & La Mesa española. The movie is in Spanish with subtitles.
Mark your calendars – Wednesday, October 29th, at 6:00 PM in room 103 in the library. The Student Senate will be having our second ad-hoc topical/town hall meeting on Charting the Future.

MSUM Student Organizations are helping to organize a campus wide Trick-o-Canning event on Friday, October 31! Any students, staff or faculty that would like to participate should meet in the CMU Main Lounge at 4:45pm on Halloween, October 31. Shireen Alemadi will meet you, break everyone up into groups, and give you a map of the neighborhoods in Moorhead to visit. We’ll also have some MSUM vehicles to help with transporting people to the neighborhoods and to bring food items back to the CMU. But, if you have a vehicle be ready to use it if need be. Nepal Night 2014 is being organized on 25th of October, this Saturday from 5 PM- 9:30 PM. The cultural event takes you on a journey to Nepal. This year’s theme is “Chinari” translated “Identity” in English. So brace yourselves to learn what identifies and makes Nepal stand out as a country among others.

The African Student Union, ASU, presents African Night 2014 at MSU Moorhead. This event is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st 2014 at the CMU Ballroom. The ASU E-board cordially invites all faculty and students to share in our special occasion. The doors open at 5:30pm for booth presentations and the event goes from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
