The next National Stuttering Association meeting is Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room in Murray Hall (Speech, Language, Hearing Science Department, Murray 210). We welcome new members!

Do you stutter? You are not alone.

If you are a person who stutters, or have a special interest in stuttering, the Fargo-Moorhead chapter of the National Stuttering Association welcomes you! The National Stuttering Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and empowerment to children and adults who stutter, their families, and professionals through support, education, advocacy, and research.

Meetings are held in Murray Hall 210 at 6:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month. The next meeting is November 17, 2011. For more information, contact Bruce Hanson, a board-recognized specialist in fluency, at (218) 477-4641, hansonbr@mnstate.edu.

Speech and Hearing Clinic to hold free memory screenings

WHAT: Individuals can take advantage of free, confidential memory screenings as part of National Memory Screening Day, an annual initiative of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) to promote proper detection of memory problems. Open to the public.
WHEN: Tuesday, November 15, 2011, Times: 8:30 to 10:30 and 1:30 to 3:30. Call
for specific appointment time, or walk-in to be screened at the next available
