Internationally-recognized photographer comes to MSUM

Photographer Daniel Mirer will meet in March with students studying photography at MSUM, and talk about his work at a free public lecture Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in MSUM’s King Hall.

Mirer has exhibited internationally and his work is represented in many key collections, including the Southeast Museum of Photography, Florida; Dallas Museum of Art, Texas; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Dallas Contemporary Art Museum; Philadelphia Museum of Art and Worcester Art Museum, Massachusetts.

Mirer was born in Brooklyn New York, and currently lives and works in both the United States and the Netherlands. He received his BFA from Pratt Institute and his MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. He is a professor of photography and media arts at Webster University, Leiden, The Netherlands.
