Event honors retired professor and kicks off scholarship fund in his name

Posted on October 04, 2012

A reception to honor Dr. Rod Rothlisberger, Music, is set for Saturday, Oct. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Studio 222, 222 Broadway, in Fargo. Appetizers and a cash bar will be provided. Rothlisberger retired last spring after 50 years of teaching music and conducting vocal ensembles. The last 17 years of his career were spent at MSUM, where he taught choral and vocal music education, directed choirs and chaired the department for several years.

A new scholarship fund has been established in Rothlisberger’s name. If you would like to support scholarships for voice students, go to donate.mnstate.edu, register or just click Make a Donation in the left-hand menu, select Click Here to Give to the College of Arts and Humanities, and select the Rod Rothlisberger Vocal Scholarship Fund. Or you may send your gift to the Alumni Foundation at 1104 7th Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56563.
