Celebration of Nations 2012- Saturday, March 31

Celebrations of Nations (CON) is an annual event at MSUM in which students set up booths to display art, clothing and information about their countries. The students also cook traditional foods to sample, provide entertainment of traditional music and dances, and the celebration ends with an outstanding fashion show. CON is the largest event on-campus open to MSUM and community members. Over 800 guests attend the event ever year.

Fun events and activities include:
1.        Kite Flying and Display (Weather permitting)
2.        Silent Auction (Funds will be donated to: UNICEF’s Humanitarian Relief in the Horn of Africa project)
3.        Display of K-5 students work of Art -Art work from local public school students
4.        Children’s World (4 p.m. to 6 p.m ) CMU 101
5.        Show begins at 6 p.m.
6.        Flag Parade–Opening Ceremony of CON
7.        Food and Country/Culture Booths
8.        Entertainment
9.        Fashion Show

Please mark your calendars for CON.

  • CON is Saturday, March 31 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • 4 p.m.-6 p.m. will be the Children’s World and opening ceremony will commence at 6:30 p.m.
